About This Retreat
Welcome to our 8th annual Mayday Wilbur Hot Springs retreat, here in the northern reaches of the bay area, two hours from San Francisco. Welcome to Wilbur, to peace and quiet, to a soupy and potent mineral bath, to great food from Charlie and Marion, and beautiful yoga up on the deck above the bathhouse.
Wilbur definitely has a mother-earth feel to it. The qualities of nature are significantly expressed here through the seeping mineral waters and creek, the gentle rolling green hills and wildflowers like mad. Like at many other retreat sites, the sound of flowing water is quite prevalent here. This sound of rushing water holds a resonance as a backdrop to our practice and group field; it's really something. If you haven't been to Wilbur, you will turn off California Highway 16 and drive for 20 minutes on a leveled gravel road. Already feeling quite remote, you drive across the bridge and through the gate and happen upon a three story, old Victorian house, out in the middle of nowhere. Amazing! Across the road to the left are the mineral baths, swimming pool, and sauna.
Parking here briefly, you will register, take your things indoors and move your car. This is an important step in arriving at Wilbur, taking your car somewhere else and walking back to the hotel and bath site. Already dropping into the visuals, the smells, and timelessness of nature, the retreat begins. The food, yoga and mineral water combo is great for dropping some baggage and hanging out with wonderful people. I look forward to seeing you there. This is a fun retreat.
Itinerary
You are welcome to arrive at Wilbur after 2 pm on Friday. We'll begin our retreat with a 5:00-7:00 pm practice on Friday late afternoon. It is totally a magical place for us and will prove to be quite special I'm sure.

- 5:00-7:00 pm practice
- 7:30 pm dinner
Saturday
- 7:30-8:30 am pranayama and chanting
- 9:00 am breakfast
- 10:00 am - 12:30 pm active morning practice
- 1:00 pm lunch
- 5:00-6:30 pm restorative, forward bends and twists
- 7:30 pm dinner
Sunday
- 7:30-10:30 am pranayama and active practice
- 11:00 am brunch
Yoga Weekend Includes:
- 5 organic meals
- 5 yoga sessions
- 2 nights accommodations - including use of baths, sauna and grounds
